Photocatalysis of Molecular Hydrogen Evolution from Aqueous Sulfite Solutions

Photocatalytic reduction of Ni2+over CdS nanoparticles was studied. It was established that CdS/Ni nanocomposite formed in this reaction has photocatalytic activity in molecular hydrogen evolution from aqueous sodium sulfite solutions. Kinetic regularities of these reactions was studied and their mechanism scheme was proposed.
